Biologic Age Testing
What is your biologic age?
Not every 50 year old is the same. Genetics, diet, and exercise are all factors. There are general health labs- cholesterol, blood sugar, metabolic panels. But there are other tests not in the usual “annual doctor visit” which can tell you your baseline cellular health. There are supplements and life changes which can improve it. This is trackable.
This is the essence of biohacking.

TEST OPTIONS

NAD TEST
You can actually test your NAD level. NAD helps the mitochondria, the powerhouse of every cell. It improves every body system. It boosts energy production and improves cellular repair. Some have described aging as “a cascade of robustness breakdown triggered by a decrease in systemic NAD+ biosynthesis and the resultant functional defects in susceptible organs and tissues.”
NAD levels are measured with blood spot testing, which we do in our Biohackr Clinic. NAD levels naturally decline with age. We have IV NAD and NAD powder to improve your levels. NAD information and programs
Don’t supplement blindly. Test. Treat. Retest

TELOMERE TESTING
By Spectracell.
Telomeres are genetic material at the end of chromosomes. They function to prevent chromosomal shortening and “fraying” when a cell replicates.
As cells age, telomeres shorten. Eventually they become too short to allow cells to replicate, so the cell stops dividing and will eventually die, which is a normal biologic process. This test allows us to determine the length of your telomeres in relation to your birth age. Many of our anti-aging treatments focus on maintaining telomere length.

VO2 MAX TESTING
VO2 max testing is done in our Palo Alto clinic. It shows how efficiently your heart, lungs, and muscles work together to transport and use oxygen. It shows when you go from aerobic to anaerobic exercise. Not only is it critical for endurance athletes to show endurance, the higher VO2 max is associated with longevity and cardiovascular risk. RESTING METABOLIC RATE TEST
Knowing your resting metabolic rate is helpful. RMR will tell you how many calories you burn at rest during a day. Your baseline rate changes with aging, exercise, and diets. This is a testable number and can help you tailor your exercise and diet program. This looks at how many calories you need to have your heart beat, hair grow, and brain think.
This test requires an appointment and is usually best done in the morning as you need to fast beforehand. To see the prep, read our blog on how to prep for an RMR test.
