Intralipid IV Infusion
WHAT: Intralipid is an intravenous lipid emulsion most often used to administer essential fatty acids to hospitalized patients. Repeated studies have suggested that Intralipid, administered intravenously, suppresses natural-killer cell activity and aids with embryo implantation.
Because of these properties, Intralipid (or IV Fat Emulsion therapy) has been used in patients who suffer from immune-mediated recurrent pregnancy loss and in women undergoing In vitro fertilization to help aid with embryo implantation.
